Management Team
President and co-founder Brian L. Burgess began his legal career in 1994, as a participating associate with Fleckman & McGlynn, pllc, in Austin. He served as corporate counsel for Austin-based eCustomers, Inc., for two years prior to establishing his own law firm in 2002. Burgess holds BA and MBA degrees, both with honors, from the University of Texas. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Texas Law Review, in 1994.
Chief Technology Officer and co-founder Stepan Riha has 13 years' experience as a senior software engineer in Austin. After graduating from the University of Texas with a bachelor's in computer science with high honors, Riha joined National Instruments as senior software engineer. His work included cross platform development, client/server networking and user interface design. In 1999, he joined @Hand Corporation, where he continues to serve as principal software engineer.
General Manager Todd Chalmers joined Collaborare in April 2005, after 15 years of working with clients on information technology implementations, including 10 years with Accenture. He was most recently Client Relationship Manager for PerformanceRetail, a leading web-based provider of technology for the convenience retail industry. Todd's deep experience in systems implementation, business process design, and client relationship management dramatically strengthens the Collaborare team.
